Dieting Makes You Fat

Don't Let the Weight Loss Industry Fool You
Dieting products such as books, weight-loss programs, and pills are all one big scam, trying to suck every last dollar out of your pocket. The weight loss industry is more concerned with their profits shrinking than with your stomach shrinking- Don't be fooled. The magazines with slimmed down celebrities may tell you otherwise, but dieting products do not work. These products are simply just overpriced books, weekly meetings and/or pills promoted by greedy companies, being endorsed by paid celebrities, and can actually make you fatter than if you did not take them.
I Thought Dieting Made Me Lose Weight?
Dating years back, people have believed dieting will make you lose weight. But the cold, hard truth is: Starving yourself sends your body into famine survival mode, causing you to store extra fat. Restricting what you eat will make you fat, and "..causes depression, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol levels." says Sophie Morris in her "Dieting Makes You Fat" article in the Independent UK. Bottom line- don't starve yourself. Nearly all "yo-yo" dieters are forced to turn to drugs, surgery, further dieting, or exercise to even maintain the initial weight loss. Take it from me, I've seen my mom try everything you can possibly think of when it comes to losing weight. She's tried Atkins, Weight Watchers, Nutri-system, Jenny Craig, and Sensa, along with numerous other products. Nothing worked. If anything, she gained weight because she was constantly thinking about how hungry she was, psyching herself out, and ended up eating more than she regularly would have.
To Be Fit Or To Not Be Fit?
Bottom Line- Eat Right And Exercise.
It's all about portion control. Don't get this mixed up with calorie-counting though as most people do. Portion control is just making sure you get the right amount of food for each food group. For example, a healthy dinner meal may consist of a small salad with light dressing, accompanied with a small breast of skin-less chicken with a cup of steamed vegetables and a roll of bread. No need to count the calories, just make sure you don't have 6 bread rolls and leave your veggies on the plate. Healthy, frequent meals and daily exercise will do the trick and are your keys to weight loss. Make exercising a habit! It is a stress reliever that will make you feel better about yourself. Lets reverse this global public health crisis OBESITY and turn America into a healthy, ill-free country.

Wow!! Who would have ever thought that dieting would make you fat. The title in itself draws health concerned audience members to read this hub. I like the fact that you bolded and italicized certain words of your hub. It truly shows the emphasis on the argument that you were trying to portray. In addition, the tone that had been established throughout the hub made it very relatable to the readers as you are thinking about your audience. Good work.
